Cl Boston Terrier Rescue Foundation is a 501(c)(3) (EIN #82-4008906) dedicated to saving the lives of Boston terriers and Boston mixes nationwide. We target high risk dogs advertised on social media that need the safe haven of rescue. These dogs include:

• Unaltered dogs desired by backyard breeders

• Retired breeding dogs

• Special needs dogs

• Unwanted, neglected, and abused dogs

• Dogs that are priced as free to $400

• Cheap dogs advertised on social media, targeted by dog fighters to use as bait dogs

• We do not purchase puppies unless they have a medical issue or they will sell us the parents as well

CLBTRF donates funds to our Approved BT Rescue Alliances to bring in these high risk Boston terriers. CLBTRF works nationwide to negotiate with breeders and owners, help shelter dogs, and assist with setting up ground and air transport for the region they are in.

Approved Rescue Alliances must:

• Be a breed specific rescue

• Take in Bostons regardless of age or health

• All dogs must be fully vetted — spayed, neutered, vaccinated, heartworm tested/treated and any other specialty care they might require prior to being available for adoption

• Require fosters and adopters to be screened extensively - via application, veterinary reference, home visit (including inspecting fences for safety), and interviews including the entire family. All pets in their home must be spayed or neutered, verified by the veterinarian.Rescues must match their dogs with a family that can provide them with what they need.
